Jon Landgraf was a charter member of RR&R Lair #1 and was responsible for the design of the RR&R flag. He died on February 20, 1995, at the age of 29. The J. Z. Landgraf Prize was created in his memory and honor and is presented annually to the winner of that year's Mass Challenge.
