| Ron's Thoughts: Damn........ I-....damn....... * * * Hermione didnt' stop running until she had reached her dorm. She threw the necklace onto the nightstand and flung herself onto her bed. Hermione put her pillow over her face and sat perfectly still, trying not to to think about it. But she did, and the images came crowding back. Ron's deep blue eyes, his soft lips, his hand on her cheek..... Just remembering the taste of him made her shiver. It had never been like that with Harry. Never. Kissing Harry was enjoyable and comfortable, but she had never felt that, that, that intensity before. Hermione sighed and opened up her diary. She began to write: Diary- There is really no need to explain what happened, because I know I wont be forgeting it any time soon. But now I am all mixed up. Do I want Ron? My memories of the heat and intensity I had with him dont lie. But as I lie here, thinking of him, I cant recapture the feeling. Right now I feel almost nothing for him. Almost. And what about Harry? Dont I still love him? I mean, of course I do, but... I dont know. I need some time to think. Hermione * * * Harry watched Ginny go, and went back to his own thoughts. He wasnt sure what was going on with Hermione, but he hoped a little time together would help. Just then, Hermione stepped off the spiral staircase into the Common Room. "Hey, Hermione" Harry said kindly as he picked himself up and strode towards her. "Oh, hi Harry," said Hermione, looking around a little distractedly. "Look, I was wondering....." Harry explained his idea about Hogsmeade. "Sure Harry, that would be fun."Hermione said with a small smile. "Allright then," Harry said as he leaned in for a quick kiss. But Hermione had her own ideas. Taking his mouth firmly in hers and wrapping her hands behind his neck, Hermione kissed him passionatly. Harrys arms automaticly slipped around her waist, but he was surprised at Hermione's sudden fire. He could almost feel the electricity coursing through her. When Hermione finally pulled away, Harry looked at her in awe. "Wow Hermione, what brought that on?" Hermione smiled. "Can't a girl kiss her boyfriend?" she said teasingly. "Uh, yea sure," Harry said in a slightly puzzled voice, giving her a small smile back. "Well, goodnight then," Hermione said, turning towards the the staircase. "Night," Harry called after her. As Hermione stepped up the stairs and out of sight, Harry thought, "Now what was that all about?" * * * Harry's arms closed around her waist, and he gazed down at her lovingly. She was so sweet, so innocent, to tender. Her fingers danced across the back of his neck as he lowered his mouth to hers, buring his fingers in her soft hair........ Harry's eyes flew open. He was breathing hard at the memory of his dream, the pictures fresh in his mind. But as he leaned back against his pillow, Harry felt like all the air and been squeezed out of his chest. Because it wasn't Hermione's face he had so lovingly touched. It was Ginny's. * * * It was late afternoon the next day, and Hermione and Harry had spent most of the day in Hogsmeade. They had visited all the sites, and had stopped for a late lunch and a butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks. Nothing had really gone wrong, but the two had been having little disagreements all afternoon. Tension was running pretty high, but Hermione wanted to make the most of their time together, so she had been gritting her teeth and trying to enjoy herself. They were now sitting at a table in the Three Broomsticks, waiting to be served. Hermione was glancing around, and Harry was explaining some new Quidditch tactics he was going to try to teach the team. But then, Hermione saw Harry's gaze fix behind her. His eyes lit up, and he called, " Hello Fluer!" Hermione turned to see the older girl, with a huge smile on her pretty face walking towards them, her long blond hair flowing flawlessly behind her. When she reached the table, she swooped down on Harry. "Well if eet izn't 'Arry Potter!!!" She exclaimed, placing kisses on either side of his face. Harry flushed, much to Hermione's annoyment. She sighed as the two started catching up, feeling very, very out of place. * * * Harry turned back to Hermione reluctantly as Fluer glided away with their orders for lunch. Things hadn't been going so well, and from the look on Hermione's face, the sudden apperance of Fluer had not helped. Harry gave Hermione a smile, which she returned weakly, and tried to start a conversation. But as they were talking, Harry couldn't help but watch Fluer sweep around in the back of the resturant, unknowingly flounting her long, shaply legs in the short waitressing skirt. But it was when Fluer had bent over to retreive a dropped napkin that Hermione lost her temper. "I would like to think," she said heatedly," that my boyfriend would rather talk to me then watch some tart in a too-tight uniform, but apparently not!!!!" Harry sighed in annoyance. "Oh honestly Hermione, could you be any more sensitive?" "And could you be any less?" Hermione gathered up her bags and stormed out, banging the door as she left. A few witchs sitting in the corner glanced at Harry curiously, and then went back to their discussion. "Hermoine..........." groaned Harry exaperated. He sank down with his head in his hand. Just then, Ron and Ginny walked in. "Harry, what happened?" said Ron, hurrying over to his best friend, Ginny close behind. Harry explained about the fight. "Ill go after her," said Ginny, hurrying out, and leaving Harry and Ron sitting at the small round table. |
