Phil Kretschman: 11h KOS +16

KOS plays at 11h and g5, each scoring 16. My play takes out the only ess hook on board while I hold a virtual monopoly. However, I viewed 11h as a gambit wherein I offer Ira the K to pick up some points on the triple, but in doing so opening up the board for 8s, which are generally better for my doubled esses. Clever, yeah, but it could easily work and fail at the same time (as an example, KHETH and KHEDA aren't that low-prob in this unseen pool!). In addition, my 8s rate to score less on average than 7s hooking BARM.
Overall, I think the simpler g5 was the right move.
