Spencer Garrett is one of the finest character actors of his generation. His many roles include a vast library of character development. He's also a nice man in person. Mr. Garrett has enjoyed roles on the stage, on television, on the silver screen, movies for television as well as television commercials. One of my favorite Spencer Garrett characters is that of Crewman Simon Tarses, who Spencer portrayed on Star Trek The Next Generation episode, "The Drumhead." The Tarses character is a mostly human, one fourth Romulan medical techincian who gets caught in the crossfire during a hunt for a traitor on board the USS Enterprise, commanded by Captain Jean Luc Picard. Garrett's Tarses had his reputation crushed due to something entirely beyond his control: his birth. The high powered admiral in charge of the investigation, Nora Satie, seemed bent on his destruction, knowing Tarses was powerless against her witch hunt. Another favorite character of mine is that of Jarod Stark, a role portrayed on The Invisible Man 2000. This character is a dark and sinister human being whose reality makes me uneasy to contemplate. The man's easy charm makes Stark an even more chilling character. Spencer has been a supporter of the National Breast Cancer Coalition for several years. For the past three years, he has participated in the opening song and dance number for the yearly benefit along with a star studded supporting cast. I think Spencer Garrett is a wonderful actor to watch. He is THE hunk. I'm a really big fan, as you can tell. Enjoy the web site; but keep in mind that the fan site of a character actor is always a work in progress. |
