1.ใช้แสดงว่า ณ จุดหนึ่งของเวลาในอนาคตที่ระบุไว้อย่างชัดเจนนั้นจะมีเหตุการณ์อะไร ดำเนินอยู่ เช่น
-He will be having breakfast at six o'clock tomorrow.
-He will be living in Japan this time next year.

      2.ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ในอนาคต ที่ได้ตัดสินใจแน่นอนแล้วว่าจะทำ เช่น
-I shall be working all day tomorrow.
-I shall be speak English tonight.

     3.ใช้คู่กับ present simple ใน 2 เหตุการณ์ซึ่งเกิดไม่พร้อมกัน คือเหตุการณ์หนึ่งกำลัง เกิดขึ้นและเกิดก่อนใช้ future continuous ส่วนอีกเหตุการณ์หนึ่งเกิดตามหลังใช้ present
simple เช่น
-The girl shall be playing football when we see them tomorrow.

    4.ใช้คาดคะเนถึงสิ่งที่จะเกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องในอนาคต เช่น
- The patient will be having noting but orange juice for the whole of next week.
