Chapter VII: The Report

On the top floor of the battle research building at the Hydra Empire capital city.

"Sir, requesting permission to enter." came a voice from beyond the door. Ren had told everyone at the office not to disturb him while he was having tea, as anyone who did tended come out one head short.

"I'm having tea. Go away!" said Ren in an agitated voice.

"B-but sir, it's very urgent," stammered the voice. Ren gave permission and in came a young soldier, obviously of very low rank. "The pyro ore mine has been destroyed," said the soldier, suddenly grabbing Ren's attention.

By that extremist group of dragons? I thought we sent in the E7 Prototype to take care of them," Ren said in disbelief.

"Well you see, our cleanup team found it among the debris, but it's body had apparently been..." he paused in fear of his punishment for being the bearer of bad news "...Split in half." A short silence followed, during which Ren's shock turned to anger. He took out his rage out on the only thing within reach which was, unfortunately, the soldier.

Clutching both the hydra's heads in his claws, Ren yelled in fury, "That's impossible! Our strongest officers and most powerful weapons couldn't even scratch it! Even after the explosion, It should have still survived!" Still enraged, Ren ripped off the first of the innocent soldier's heads, and threw the rest of him out the window where he plummeted fifty stories to his death.

They will pay for this, Ren thought. They. Will. Pay. Ren calmed down, and pressed the button for his secretary. "Call the HARNIS members. Tell them I have some interesting news, and tell them to meet me at the usual coordinates."

"Yes sir," replied his secretary's voice over the intercom.

If all went according to plan, this little disruption in the Dragon's War would be taken care of in no time. He smiled, and returned to his tea.
