"What are you doing up there?" you demand. "When the lava comes, we'll be safe up here," they answer. "Won't the lava melt the pole?" you ask. "Better it than us!" they reply. The young woman tugs you on the sleeve. "There's no room up there anyway. I suggest we move on." The lava has just about covered the entire plateau. To the south, the forest is aflame. |
