| As you approach the
volcano, you come to a steep drop-off. You climb down carefully,
but then you slip. You start rolling. Then you roll faster
-- and faster. Then you roll off the cliff and land among the branches
of a grove of tall trees. Your impact bends the tree branches.
They snap back, and you go flying. Then you land in another grove
-- and get tossed again.
Looking back, you see that the trees have faces -- and they're laughing at you. You make a face back at them. Finally, you grab at a branch and alter your trajectory enough to land on bare ground. You pick yourself up and look around. Judging by the angle between the sun and the volcano, you are now to the west of the volcano. |
