40 | Comments | This engine was "thrown together" using a bunch of parts I had lying around. Most of the aftermarket parts were swap meet "bargains" collected over the years. The engine was built as a stronger replacement for the tired 1500cc single port that was in the truck when I purchased it around 1990. This engine has lots of low end torque and mid range and will run well at legal freeway speeds. I converted the truck to twelve volts but left the starter (and flywheel) as six volt. |
