The designs below were my GCE 'O' Levels Fashion Design Art Project 1999. Well
it was my first time trying out fashion designing so still alright lah.
The theme of my designs were orchids. The style, patterns were developed from
petals of different species of orchids. All the designs were done on normal
drawing paper using water colour then paste on A2 size black mounting board.
I had a really hard time try to scan n cut n paste frm A2 size to it's current size.
The development of the skirt is of layers of the petals. And on the front,
it has a unique white top with this pattern on it, and attaching 2 straps on
the left shoulder.
This design is abit "sarong" looking. Haha...looks kinda Indian like that.
Every place is covered up, except only the shoulder are exposed. I like the
"scarf" that "flows" down...got this casual elegance.
The clothes here is kind of like Ma Xiaoling in "My Date With Vampire" but I
didn't copy that lah. There's an orange tube top, then yellow dress with an
inverted dart behind then a velvety long sleeve top. Looks a bit like a
Red Indian.
The girl looked like a peasant girl in the olden times huh? I love this design
cos one shoulder is exposed and there are beads on the skirt. Noticed i add
an arm tatoo for the girl and a cross choker.
Another Red Indian design. I like the cutting of the purple top. The orange
skirt just flares down with translucent "lettuce-hemming" give a taste of
gracefulness. A yellow ethnic pocket is added by the side of the waist.
A very oriental looking design. A 3/4 sleeve red & yellow low-cut top which
reveal some cleavage. The high-cut skirt is made of leather, with some
embroidery on it.
