Pictures taken at Yunnan, Kunming
Yunnan consist of 26 different tribes. It is famous for it's different tribes & customs. Kunming is the city situated at the heart of Yunnan. The temperature ranges from 16-22 degrees. It's really cooling n refreshing, unlike the terribly hot Singapore. Anyway, below are some pics that I've taken on my trip with my dad. I have combined the pictures into 1 big file. Easier to see right?

Day 1, I went to this World-Horti Expo Garden which shows the various thousands and millions of flowers from different countires. I get to see really rare and weird flowers that's really out of this world!!

At first, I thought I could withstand the cold since I'm wearing sleeveless. Later, I buay tahan already, must take out sweater. Well, in the pic where I'm surrounded by flowers, in actual fact, it's a really really big air- conditioned transparent room. Ha.....anyway, the grasses there are really very clean, you can just sit down anyhow or even roll on it!

Day 2 I went to Shi Lin which means Rock Forest. All you guys who have watched "The Legendary Swordsman (Xiao Ao Jiang Hu)", the serial was actually filmed at Shi Lin. Shi Lin is a really big place, all you see are rockwalls, rocks and more rocks. Those rocks are naturally formed and is not man-made.

Due to limited spaces, I'm unable to show you the sceneric views of Shi Lin. All the background in the pics are actually rockwalls and rocks. Some of the rocks really shaped like animals for e.g tortise, rat, cat, doves etc. The 2 person wearing traditional clothes are the tour guides of Shi Lin. The traditional clothing belonged to the "San Ni" tribe. According to the guide, the ladies of "San Ni" tribe are being called "Ah Shi Ma", while the men are called "Ah Hei Ge". I had the most enjoyable time at Shi Lin of my 4-day Yunnan trip. Learnt a lot of legends & customs about the "San Ni" tribe.

Day 3 I went to Xishan which is West Mountains where the "Long Men" is situated. Sword-fighting novels lovers should have heard of "Long Men Ke Zhan (Dragon Door Inn)" right? I tell you ah, Xishan is really hard to climb. It happened to be raining with very big wind that day and the steps are super slippery and very steep. I nearly can't make it back to Singapore man...freeze to death liao man....

The temperature that day was around 12-15 degrees. Cold like hell man! Brrr....my fingers actually went numb. "Long Men" is the peak of Xishan and once you've reached there, you've 'deng1 shang4 long2 men2' loh! After climbing Xishan, we took a cable car down to "Yunnan Min Zu Cun" where you get to see the 26 different tribes of Yunnan. The "Min Zu Cun" is actually a smaller version of the actual place. And different tribes orginated from different parts of Kunming. Like "Bai Zu" ppl are from Dali, "Zang Zu" ppl are from Zhongdian. In one of the pics, you can see 3 white pagodas behind me. That's the famous "Dali San Ta". "Tian Long Ba Bu" lovers should know that Duan Yu comes from Dali hor? hee~ =)

I had lunch at a "Bai Zu" restaurant and the kid of the owner of the restaurant was so cute that I couldn't resist not to take a pic with that kid! Well, due to time constrain, I didn't visit all the 26 tribes. I think I've only visited like 10 tribes only, not even half man. My dad loh! Say what leg pain, say got nothing to see.....wah lau so spoiler. Hai~ next year I want to go again!

That's all folks! Hmmm....if next year I really have chance to go Kunming again...I really must go Lijiang man! Play with snow. Hee~ Well, actually I took a lot more pictures than what I've put up here, I only chose a few then cut and paste here, therefore can't really see the sceneries. So 'bao qian'....
