BEAN
It's hard to say much about Bean working only from what we know in Ender's Game.  For those of you who may not know, there were two "sequels" to Ender's Game: Speaker for the Dead and Ender's Shadow, both of which were followed by later books. Ender's Shadow is not so much a sequel as a parallel novel, one that takes place, for the most part, at the exact same time as the original book.  This book concentrates solely on Bean, and we learn more about him than we ever wanted to know.  Nah, just kidding, I loved Ender's Shadow!  However, what I am going to say on this page will only be what we know from Ender's Game.
Bean is one of the members of
Ender's Dragon Army.  He is the youngest and smallest child, but also seemingly the brightest.  He forms a sort of connection with Ender, and consequently ends up being Ender's "right-hand man" so to speak.  Towards the end, Bean is the only one to whom Ender confides his personal feelings and fears.  Though we don't learn much about him in this book, if you read Ender's Shadow, you will find out that Bean was much more important that first suspected, and was responsible for many of the events that occurred.
