GROUPS INVESTIGATING GOD - GIGs

GIGs are an acronym for Groups Investigating God. I have found that many students have a spiritual interest and want to grow in that. They are trying to answer question about purpose, how to have peace, and how to feel empowered, etc. The GIG is a way to answer all these questions and show how God can provide for a person's needs. I have done GIGs with many students over the years and am available to lead a GIG by appointment.

Everyone has a spiritual side just like we have an emotional side. Well, if we become angry and supress that anger, then we start to rot inside. Similarly, if our spiritual side wants to come out and we stuff it inside, we will start to rot spiritually.

I like to start my first GIG looking at Jesus. Why Jesus? Because most stereotype Jesus into a spiritually good guy who said this and that. Actually, Jesus said and did some very controversial things. At the first GIG, we check out Jesus on day 3 of a 7 day party.

The following questions are tackled:
How can I access my spiritual side?
How is my spiritual side connected with studies, sports, relationships, etc.?
Who is Jesus? What can he do for me? What is he about?
How do I find power and strength to help me in everyday life?
