Never Far

I'm here.

Your There.

Never would I have thought

our time together would part.

I know, no matter where you are,

you'll always be near.

In my mind, in my heart, I know

we'll never be apart.

We had good times, we were like one.

But God needed you there to share

your smile, for here I will carry

on.

I know in things I do, and things I say.

How much you meant to me, how much I

meant to you.

Our flesh will never touch, but your spirit

will never die. I can feel you now, here

with me through my journey down the isle.

I can see your shining smile, a tear in your

eye as I say "I Do".

For you are my friend, and death has only

taken your shell, not your spirit.

For your spirit is in me and in all you've

touched.

No matter where you are, I know your never

far, For I feel you near. I just needed

to let you know, I love you so.

As I read this poem for you, I ask all to

wipe their tears, look around the room and

send a smile in memory of you.
