| Rusty's Airtube and K & N cone filter installation |
| Rusty's Airtube and K and N Filter Kit, replaces the stock air box and it's flat paper air filter with a higher performance cone filter. Included is the airtube/tube mount, the K & N cone filter and a set of intructions that aren't exactly intuitively written. This kit is available for both the 4.0L and 2.5L engines, and is said to increase your HP by 7-15 hp. This install is very easy, and should take a beginner from 20-30 minutes. With a digital camera in hand, it may take you about 40 minutes! ; ) |

| When you first open the hood you will notice your airbox in all of it's glory, attached to the 3 hoses, A, B, and C. Using a flat-head screwdriver, loosen the clamps holding down the lid of the airbox. Lift off the lid, and disconnect all three hoses and lay them aside. Later, you will be re-attaching these to the airtube. |

| Now that you have the lid of the airbox off, remove the flat filter exposing 3 bolts at the bottom. (see pic) The rear bolt is the same bolt you will be mounting the airtube to. Remove the bolts and set them aside. Now simply remove the airbox. (It's easier to do so from the rear due to it being inserted to a breather hole toward the grill.) |
