It's has been over ten years since the last CRX rolled off the assembly line bound for the US, and since then there has been an up cropping of Clubs and websites dedicated to this car. No the Del Sol doesn't count even if they Eastern part of the world called it a CRX, it just plain isn't. Nope.
I've owned and driven a CRX for eight years now, and needless to say am a great fan of Honda's ingenuity especially this car. I this concept image because there has been much demand within the CRX crowd to see Honda release another CRX. This is my interpretation of what it might look like.
When I looked at the car, the first thing I noticed was the similarities to the CRX. The basic layout is the same, only two seats, a lightweight chassis, it's a hatchback, and the size and appearance are all very similar. The only thing missing is sporty performance. So I added the performance, in Photoshop. Could Honda create an SI version? Might some industrious person decide to "hop-up" an Insite?
I'd like to see performance specs somewhere from the Civic SI to the RSX Type S, ranging from 160bhp to 200bhp.
I know I'd buy one, would you?
Am I dreaming? Probably. Am I drooling? Absolutely.
