The Rover Legacy
Somehow, everything just comes back to Rover.
Richard Drayton is guided by Rodrigo, servant of Rover, to finish Rover's mission mapping Spanish bridges. When he is shot, Little Rover is brought to help save Drayton. During his recovery back in England, he meets and falls for Rachel Meyer, Rover's daughter.
Micheal Southy has been unknowingly supplying Rover with information to help keep his cover as Arnaut.
Claude Meillet was the only one not to trust the false Arnaut, Rover and was imprisoned because of it. The embarrassment of that and his hatred for Rover help fuel his search for revenge and subsequent attacks on Southy and Nathanson.
James Meyer 'Nathanson', is Little Rover, son of Rover. His marriage to Eloise Bernal is strongly supported by Rover, though James is still greatly enamoured with the Countess of Brieg. Oddly enough, James and Theresa von Brieg met at a party thrown by Rover while in disguise.
Julien Clermont is the near-spy caught by Rover. When Julien's true identity and purpose are uncovered, Rover becomes an unlikely ally. Their mutual dislike/distrust of the disguised Rover is one of the first things Julien and Serena Allen find they have in common.
Nathan Meyer is Rover, spy extraordinaire.
