It
was a ferocious fight before the Prince finally gave in and escaped back to his
territory. The DARK returned to the Underground City. Toft and Lars took up the
responsibility to fix the broken water gate. Zada took everyone back to her
weapon shop. Esonia and Heidis sort of got caught in a short conversation.
Esonia said in a cold tone,
¡§I never thought you would decide to oppose the Boss.¡¨
Heidis shook her head,
¡§Me neither. It just happened. I only wanted to do what is right to me.¡¨
Life in the Underground
City can be really boring if you don¡¦t chat with other people you see. (In
this way, you will learn a lot about the people around you.)
Option
1: Go into Witt¡¦s house and you will see Linda sitting in an armchair. Talk to
her and she will tell you something about her son Toft¡Xhis childhood, his
rebellious teenage, and some other things. (See, Toft doesn¡¦t live with his
parents.)
Option
2: Go into Lars¡¦s house and talk to him. He will tell you about what he had
encountered during the attack of the Vega City¡Xpoor guy, he lost his whole
family there.
Option
3: Go to shops to find valuable information. Hunt for messengers passing by the
place.
Option
4: (This is a must!) Go to Zada¡¦s shop and upgrade all your teammates¡¦
weapons¡K(with Max¡¦s money¡Xjust a little pain!!)
(The
members of your team may not always walk together. However, Heidis can find
anyone among the other four player characters (Max, Ponnie, Yisa, Esonia) to
accompany her on her visits or she can just go alone.)
Zada called Heidis and co. to the court ground for a meeting.
Heidis, Ponnie and Yisa went there together. Toft, Lars and Esonia were already
there. Only Max and Cat didn¡¦t show up. They waited for quite a while until
Zada decided to start without them.
¡§Our members reported to us that Felin is there in our
neighbouring Titian City and some of their citizens are captured as hostages.¡¨
Zada told them in a concerned voice, ¡§It is clear that either Felin is looking
for Esonia or for you, Heidis. We can¡¦t allow them to destroy another city. We
must do something to stop him. I have already sent out some members of the DARK
to hold him back, but their power is not enough.¡¨
¡§Heidis, please help us and Titian City.¡¨ Toft continued, ¡§All you
need to do is to distract Felin from the citizens. Esonia has agreed to help. If
the both of you can appear in Titian City, Felin will turn their targets on you
two and the citizens will be saved. Don¡¦t worry. The DARK will be there to
help you.¡¨
¡§If this is so,¡¨ Heidis replied, understandingly, ¡§I
will go and distract Felin for the sake of the innocent citizens.¡¨
¡§I
will follow you, Heidis.¡¨ Yisa offered, ¡§We¡¦re a team. And I think Max
will too.¡¨
Heidis smiled, ¡§Thanks, Yisa. You¡¦re the best.¡¨
Zada
used the voice command through her headset, ¡§Map, activate.¡¨ A table rose
from the floor of the court ground and a map was projected onto the transparent
surface. Zada roughly pointed out the places where they could position. ¡§We
can divide into two groups. One group can station at the port as the other can
try to close up on Felin. We can lead Felin out of Titian City. We can gather
forces to defeat him once and for all just outside the Titian City.¡¨
¡§Is it possible that we might post threat to the people
living in the outskirts, or to the structures built there?¡¨ Yisa asked.
¡§Though some people are living there in the outskirts,
it¡¦s still the best place to defeat Felin, for there is only a small
population.¡¨ Lars answered, ¡§As far as we know, there¡¦s a bridge which led
to the port, and somewhere around there is an abandoned steel factory. I don¡¦t
think our action will post a big threat to those living nearby.¡¨
¡§Any
other questions?¡¨ Zada asked the rest of the team.
¡§Nope.¡¨ Heidis said.
¡§Let¡¦s just go find Cat and Max.¡¨ Lars said, ¡§Then
we¡¦ll get moving.¡¨
Zada
remembered something, ¡§Toft, have you talked to your father about this?¡¨
¡§Nope.¡¨ Toft replied without thinking, ¡§I don¡¦t want
him to know it until it is done. He¡¦ll do something reckless and try to stop
our action.¡¨
Esonia shot him a look, ¡§Really I think you should listen
to your father for once, Toft. You haven¡¦t been home for the whole year.¡¨
Toft looked away.
