night and day
like the beat, beat, beat of the tom-tom

Well, I've gone and done it.  I've become one of those people who takes her job really seriously.  The funny thing is, I don't mind.  I'm kind of into it.  I understand that that's the difference between a job and a career.

Could it be?
Might I have a career on my hands?

Land sakes alive, Betty Lou, she's gone and become a full-grown lady!
Well, full-grown, anyway.

Here's what I do mind:
1. Being tired so much
2. Not seeing my friends so much

The rest of it I'm okay with.  Hell, I don't even mind being tired so much.  It makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something.  Being tired at my other jobs rarely made me feel like I was doing much besides spinning my wheels. At this place it means something.

Just to counteract all that maturity, I'd like to say that I entered the Metallica launch party contest today.  Grand prize is an all-expenses paid weekend in San Fran with the trio, and I'm gonna win.  So there.  Fuckers.

In other news, I've had some requests for the Hot Flash Hall of Fame, and I want to remind everyone who hasn't submitted one to do so.  The only caveat being that if I don't agree with your taste, you'll have to provide the picture and the write up.  Are you listening, Ava and Jasmine?

So the HFHOF will be the next update, along with a little something special for Father's Day.  Keep your eyes peeled for that, and in the meantime,
listen to my friend Sean.  He's teaching me to play guitar, and one day I hope to buy myself a National not unlike his beloved Pearline.
