Things are getting back to normal, and normal is somehow better than it used to be.  I can't quite put my finger on why.  Frankly, I'm not too concerned with figuring it out.  I guess it feels like I did a fair amount of psychosocial springcleaning over the last couple of months, and now that the weather's nice again it really shows.  Today was the best day I've had in months.  A sharp contrast to Wednesday of last week, which was the worst day I've had in as many months (how many was that?  I don't know.).  Whatever... life rocks.  Just like almost every website I listed as a link on this site.  I only recently noticed that... apparently I was a little short on adjectives the day I set up that page.

I missed the Sopranos last week.  I was feeling rather delicate, was nervous about my appointment the following day and I just couldn't bear to see Tony cheating on Carmela.  Horrifying but true: it's somehow not as bad when he's getting a quickie bj from one of the girls at the Badabing.  I know that's absurd and I'm properly disgusted with myself for feeling that way.  I guess I can accomodate a certain level of filth, but he's going out of his way for Gloria.  She wasn't already half-naked, in his face and desperate to make ends meet, as it were.  The look on his face in tonight's episode when Gloria said to him, "I know why you lie... but you don't have to," was brilliant.  He's in way over his head.  So is Jackie, Jr.  What a moron that kid is.  You'd think Ralphie was his real father.  He's perfect for Meadow.
