Abstract
Silent comedy animation is an animation without any dialogues. Using exaggerated body language to achieve the character's personality and create the comedy mood in the non-verbal environments. And it will effectively to present the funny mood through character's exaggerated body language.
Exaggerated body language movement is about character's movement to be exaggerated. It is a technique of character animation. When exaggerated body language has been applied in silent comedy animation, it becomes a very important element and way of communication in non-verbal environments. Exaggerated body language base on the application of principles of animation. It effectively to create a strong character by using the principles of animation applied in exaggerated body language to achieve desired the comedy effect.
This review is essentially to provide a clear understanding and the fundamental on non-verbal communication, which is the importance of exaggerated body language movement that can be applied into silent comedy animation.
Thesis Issues
Through animation techniques, principles and compare with some silent comedy animations which using exaggerated body language and which without using exaggerated body language to prove it equal important with lighting, texture in an animation. And the general audiences will not miss the importance. Because the character's personality what the exaggerated body language carried out is the real focus of the general audiences.
