The Trials and Tribulation of Saving Private Ryan
Saving Private Ryan is my favorite movie because of story which left such a sharp impression on me. One of the most famous persons made this movie. His name is Steven Spielberg His movie is the winner of five Academy Awards; two of them are, For the Best Picture, and for Sound and Sounds effects(also, excellent choice group of actresses). The movie started with 30 minutes of the most bloodly scene in world cinematography. Imposing scene is when soldiers were on the boat and they trying to embark on the Normandy coast. One moment you see how they pray; another they were dead. The water is painted with blood. In the air, you can hear shots and explosions mixed with human cries of pain. Every where are parts of bodies.
Captain John Miller, played by Tom Hanks is a leader of that mission on Omaha Beach in 1944. It is called the D-day Mission . Captain Miller and soldiers did the best that they could. A lot of them gave their lives for that piece of earth. At the headquarters building, Abraham Lincoln gets the report that three brothers, Sean, Peter and David Ryan lost their lives in battle. Can anybody imagine the horrible feeling when the mother found out about her sons' tragedies. The youngest of the four brothers is Private Ryan, the only survivor. A special squad with Captain Miller in charge got a new assignment. They were going to find Private Ryan, and get him ticket to go home. In that small squad were, Sergant Horvanth, Private Reibn and Soldier Upham. All of them were different from each other. However, they had one common characteristic- dealing with war. On the way they were talking some funny stuff. They did that to remove their fear. When they came deeper into the enemy's territory, they asked themselves is that one man worth eight people. When they found Private Ryan, they made decision to stay on the bridge. Somebody must win. They were on an easy way to lose their feelings. It had been a long time since they had been with their families. With some survivors' power, they made themselves prepared for the enemy. All soldiers were brave; there are no words to describe their courage. Upham, the soldier with education was in special group for translating the French and German languages. He had very bad moments with strong fear inside him. He was just a kid with a weapon in his hands. I wish that he reacted differently; it could have been helpful for the others. Captain Miller was the powerful person until the end. He struggled with his pain, fear and all kinds of soldiers' problems. When battle was over, he died like an honorable man.
Whenever in the world is "war situation" it could be fixed on the other way. Every other way is better than killing. War never gave anyone something positive. It caused tragic consequences for a person - forever. This is my opinion about movie, and I read a short review from a person named Don, which is similar to my opinion. He said, "Saving Private Ryan is the best film I've seen in my life time."
