| Step 6 The feet are very hard to draw!? I should know, took me a hell of a long time to draw these ones! Anyway these are twice as long in length as the hands and consist each of a U which ends by heading up to the leg. Its takes a lot of effort to get the right shape and angle. |
| Step 7 The Head. Simple enough to look at, simple enough to draw. It is made up of a circle with a rough U shape undernearth. The chin shouldn't be pointy like a cone (although in some cases the artists will do this when they can't be bothered to draw the angle correctly!). This part of the face is essentail! Get this wrong and Kai won't look much like Kai at all! Kai is in his early teens, so the head is roughly between 1/4 the length of the body and 1/5. For an adult it would be between 1/6 and 1/7 depending on how tall the character is!. |
| Step 8 Kai's hair is in short a bunch of triangles. How do you explain it anyway other then this? You don't! I'm afriad this time your own your own with the hair. This is the hardest part to draw of Kai (in my view) as even the artists of the series couldn't get it 100% right! However careful obsevation and studing of various pictures of Kai will help draw his hair. Remember Kai is lighter at the front and darker at the back! And the triangles furthest back on the lighter part are much bigger then the ones that make up hie fringe! For a rough guid to drawing the hair click here! |
