Hell Cat 2: Transformation
By Seri
Sometime during the night she had a flash back. Teleporting out of the mansion, she ran to the wooded area behind the school. She found a large tree and climbed it with ease. Finding one of the highest, large branches,( about 25 feet up ) she finally found enough peace to sleep.
"Professor, come take a look at this." Jean requested, looking at the grounds defense monitor. It showed the spansion of the mansions grounds, thus showing movement in the back quarter.
Seeing this, Charles came to an understanding. "She has to do what makes her feel safe. I'll bet she'll be back before sunrise." He commented, going back to bed.
He was right. She was back in the house by 6 a.m.. She could smell the coffee, and Xavier was waiting for her. "How'd you sleep?" He asked, having a cup waiting for her.
"Actually? I felt a little cooped up. But I slept well." She answered, taking the offered cup. "Thank you."
"You gave Jean a good scare last night. If I hadn't picked up on you, we would have sent out the guard." He stated, reading the newspaper.
"I'm sorry about that. I didn't realize what I had done till I woke this morning. It took a bit to figure out how I got there, but like you, I figured it out."
"Why don't you create a program for yourself in the danger room. You might be able to get through better with out putting yourself in danger." He suggested as she took the local news section.
"You promise not to tamper with it?" She asked, remembering the first one she had made.
"I wouldn't do a thing like that." He teased, innocently. She shot him a dirty look over the paper. "Alright." He chuckled, "I promise not to tamper with it. Just promise me you won't do what you did last night."
"I would, if I had control over it, but like I said, I didn't remember doing it till this morning." She said as Rogue walked in.
"Mornin." Rogue said, getting herself a cup.
"Morning." Serina replied, refilling her own. "I should go get Remy up, we have a lot of work to do." She said, pouring a cup to take to him. "I'll see you all later." She said leaving the room.
She met a few more early risers on her way to their room. When she got there she heard things being smashed around. She threw open the door, thinking he was in trouble. She barely ducked as he charged one of her nick-nacks and threw it at her. "What the hell do you think you're doin'." She said, careful not to raise her voice.
He stopped, not realizing she was there. "I'm just blowin' some steam." He snapped, stalking into the bathroom.
"We do have a room for that, Remy." She followed him. "You don' have ta tear up our room." She managed to keep the cups steady when he threw the object. "What triggered it?"
"Nothin'." He said, not looking at her.
"Brought you some coffee." She said, setting his down on the cabinet. "If you want to talk, let me know." She said, walking back in to their bed room. She had barely began to dress when she felt the explosion from the bathroom. "Remy?!" she said, rushing through the smoke. He sat on the floor, almost dazed.
He looked up at her as Rogue and Scott burst through their door. Serina was wearing her pants and bra, she hadn't pulled her top on yet. "There are days when I hate being a mutant." He muttered. She helped him up, taking him to the bed and sitting him down.
"Love, I like to think I have patients, but damn it, I want to know what's goin' on!" She demanded, as Scott left the room to inform Xavier.
"Nothin', I'm just getting off to a bad start." He snapped at her.
She turned to Rogue, " I'll take care of this. I'll let you know if I can't get his cooperation."
"What'd he charge?" Rogue asked, walking with Serina to the door.
"More like what didn't he charge. The last was his coffee cup." She shook her head, "He's actin' mighty strange. I walked in on him throwing things, one almost hit me."
"Let me know, will ya?"
"I will." She said, closing the door behind her. She turned to see him looking out the window. She walked up behind him. "I know you're ling to me, but I can't figure out why." She cautiously put her arms around him, "I love you and seeing you like this, not knowing why bothers me."
He ran his hands over hers, "I know, but it's nothing, really."
"Ok, it's dropped then. Now. Are we still on for today?" She asked, knowing it was something he must have buried deep with in him.
"Yea, sweet, we are." He smiled. One thing he knew from experience was that this is far from dropped.
They spent the day getting her some new things to wear, she had built up her muscles since she had left and nothing seem to fit. They stopped off to pick up lunch at a little out of the way deli taking it to a park. They spread out a blanket and enjoyed the beautiful day.
"Remy," She began, brushing the hair out of his eyes, his head in her lap. "What did you dream about last night?" she asked, trying to figure out what happened this morning.
"Nothing, why?" He asked, enjoying the touch of her hands.
"I don' know, I guess I'm trying to find out what made you so angry." She said honestly, playing with his hair.
"You just can't leave it alone, can you." He said, sitting up.
"No." She replied, grabbing hold of him, fearing he was going to leave. "You could have killed both of us, you know that. Did you have any control at all this morning?" She asked.
"Of coarse." He replied, seeing the fear in her eyes. "I didn't see or hear you, that's all." He said, caressing her cheek.
"What about the cup. You were in a closed in area, did you want to kill yourself?" She asked, her concern showing plainly on her face.
"No, I was just having one of those days, that's all." He said soothingly, " Let's just relax and try t' make t'day more than an off day, ok?" He asked, caressing her cheek.
"Sure, Love," She closed her eyes to his touch. "Sure....." She stopped as he pulled her in for a deep kiss.
"I love y' Petite, My Serinity." He whispered. "Never doubt it and never forget it."
"Never, My love." She whipered in his embrace, holding him tightly, knowing somewhat of how he felt. "Never let go of mae, Remy, never."
"Never, My Love, Never."
