Hell Cat 3

Serina let it drop after her talk with Remy at the park, a few weeks ago. His mood swings had become worse and she was still trying to control her own new emotions and sensations.

Although she is still blind, Serina's senses were now finely tuned and her body was still changing from the tampermenting by the goverment, but changing into what, she was uncertain.

"Momma! Momma!" Serina awoke to the loud, chiming chant of her son and daughter as they jumped on her bed. "Momma! Time to get up!" They chirped.

"We wanna go out an' play." Nicholas said in a pouty tone, but sounding like his father.

"An' Daddy, he in a bad mood." Skylara added. "He say t' 'Go Away'. " She imatated Remy's growl.

"Oh he did, did he?" Serina questioned, sitting up. "And just where is 'Daddy' today?"

"He say he want t' be alone, so he go under de mansion." Sky explained.

"Under...oh..ok, I know where he went, Ummmm... I have an idea..." Serina began, as she dressed. "You go and see if Aunty Rogue, Storm or Jean are busy and tell them I went to 'talk' to Daddy. See if they will keep an eye on you while you play outside." She then scribbled out a note and handed it to Sky. "Give this to Rogue, maybe she'll take you for a horse ride." She smiled.

"Ok, Momma," Sky relpied as Nickolas walked out the door after giving his Momma a hug. Sky started to do the same, then stopped. "Momma?" She said, stopping, turning to face her. "Is Daddy gonna be alright?"

Serina neeled down to her daughter's level. "I hope so, Sweetheart, I hope so." She said, hugging Sky. "I'm going to try and find out."

"Ok, Momma, I'm scared." Sky paused, Backing away a bit. "I feel like we're loosing him. At least that is what my dreams tell me." She whispered, leaving the room.
Serina watched her daughter go, a bit of puzzlement in her mind. After a few moments, she shook it off, finishing dressing and going to see to her husband.
Making her way down into the lower levels, she became curious. There was an odor of melted wire and burned casings, but she couldn't tell as of yet, where it came from.
As she checked the cells, she found one had been tampered with. The electrical lock broken, the wires fried and the door locked. Peeking in, she saw that Remy sat half shaded in a darkened corner. His hands looked battered and there was blood on the walls and floor. From her obsevation, she could tell he had been beating his fists aainst the metal walls.
As he sat, she observed, he held his staff at an angle in front of him. Slowly it began to glow with kenetic energy.
Her eyes went wide. "No." her voice a whisper, moments before she teleported herself in, ripping the staff from his hands. "NO!"
Angerly he stood, watching her absorb the charge. Angerly he hit her, sending her and the staff across the room. "Why... why are y' here?" He growled.
Watching him, she telekeneticly turned on the inhibitor, making them both powerless. "Because I love y'." She replied softly, reaching up to wipe away a bit of blood from the edge of her bottom lip.
Shaking his head, he moved to pace the floor infront of her. "Why, why do you haunt me. Why am I cursed to see you with every breath I take. Not even in sleep can I escape thee, for thy haunting is strong, thy power over me so great. Fye, woman, thy name is misery, for you make us want what we can not possess. Your given name a mask for what you truly are, for you are not peaceful, not serene, thy name is a blastfamy on the lips on man. For how can you be Serinity yet cause so much misery? You make us dream of you, make us desire you yet none can truly have you, yet you have us all eating out of the palm of your hand. Be gone, Woman, for I can not stand to look at thee, for thy burn my eyes and sear my soul. Be gone demon of my heart so that I may be free of this torment. Be Gone!" He ordered loudly, moving to pick her up off the floor, slaming her into the wall, then throwing her across the room into the other wall. He watched as she slowly slid down it. A wicked smile crossed his lips as he moved to tower over her once more.
Serina cowered on the floor. She knew, deep down and from the brief moment she entered his mind before she turned on the inhibitor, that he did not think she was really there. that she was just a ghost of his imagination. "No...., Remy please...."
His lips curled into a snarl as he reached down and lifted her from the floor, slaming her back repeated ly into the wall. "Why can I not be free of you!" He hollard, beating her harshly, relelntlessly, as if trying to rid himself of her memory.
Jean entered the observatory, seeing the momitors on in the containment cells. As her eyes scanned carelessly over them, they stopped suddenly on the room that Serina and Remy were in. "Oh my God." She gasped, calling for help.
A group rushed to try and get in, all the while Jean watched helplesly as Remy beat Serina into a nearly unconscious state. Hank worked vigerously on the fried lock as Bobby tried to freeze the metal, trying to make a new entrance into the room.. Xavier tried his best to override the system but was failing miserably. Finially, after twenty minutes, Scott arrived, after hearing the situation, he bolted down to the cell.
"Oh God, hurry, she can't hold on much longer!" Jean's paniced voice vibrated over the intercom. "He's killing her!"
Scott tried several times to blast through the metal walls, but never made more than a scratch. "These walls were created to even hold Logan inside." Scott sighed frustrated. "Let me try blast at the door's frame." He suggested, moving to blast the door.
After a few attempts, the door finially gave way, making it hard, but movable by Hank and Rogue. Between the two, they were able to make an opening big enough to get them in.
Once inside, they tried to break Remy's hold on Serina. It was damn near impossible.
Hank moved quickly to retrieve his medical kit, moving deftly, he injected Remy with a sedative. The group tried to hold him down while the sedative took effect.
Meanwhile, Jean, Cecilia and Ororo worked to get Serina stable and moved to the infermery.
Once sedated, they moved Remy to the infermery and laid him beside his wife, treating his injuries as Serina rested and began to heal slowly.
After treating him, they restrained Remy, tieing him to the bed and placing an inhibitation bracelet on him, nulling his mutant abilities.
Serina, on the other hand was undergoing the most intense medical work over she had ever had.
"I don't understand," Cecilia began, "She has a heightened healing factor, like Logan, yet she hasn't healed much at all."
"The only time she ever did anything like this was when she was pregnant, but then, some of her other abilities surged where others faded." Hank explained as he looked over her blood work.
"Could it be from having them negated for so long?" Jean inquired softly.
"Ahh.. no.. " Hank smiled, "Seems we are due for another LeBeau in about six months." He moved over to Serina's side, watching her eyes flutter open. "Serina... can you hear me?"
She nodded slowly, her eyes foccusing on Hanks blue furry face and brilliant smile.
"Good, you ever do this again, with out one or more of us present and I will personally step into your father's shoes and.. how would he put it.... Ah yes, 'Tan your hide.' Do you understand me?"
Serina almost snickered at his threat.
"I mean it, young lady. It is one thing to endanger yourself, but you indangered another who has no choice but to be with you, for it is with in you." He explained.
She looked at him in puzzlement.
"You are pregnant, My Dear, once again, you are going to give us something new to expirence." He smiled.
Her eyes fell onto her husband as he lay sedated on the bed next to hers.
"He is alright." Hank informed her. "He is resting."
Her eyes teared up a bit as she reached her hand out to him.
Hank nodded to have Remy's bed moved closer to hers.
She laced her fingers in his, squeezing lightly. Remy moaned softly.
"We are going to place him in a conatainment cell, like we did you when you came home from the assylum. We want to keep him contained and safe while we find a way to help him." Hank explained. "It is not what we want to do, but what we have to do now. I never want to have to go through what we did to get to you again."
Serina just nodded slowly. "He didn't know it was me." Her voice very soft. "He thought it was my memory. He had no idea that I teleported in."
Hank shook his head as the others just lowered theirs. "No one knew. If it wasn't for Sky telling Jean and Jean taking a walk to see if you were there, we'd have never known." Hank paused, knowing this is going to effect Remy bad. "He will never forgive himself."
"Put me in the room with him when he wakes." Serina requested softly. "That way I can keep him calm an' explaine things t' him gentily, maybe I can help him through it."
"Only under the strictest observation. If he makes one aggressive move toward you, I want help to be near by." Hank stated.
"I understand." Serina accepted.
