Life
Today by Pam Richardson
As I sit here looking out over the wonderful expanse of mountains,
I know that my heart is like these very mountains I see.
Covered in mist and hidden from view of everyone's eyes.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
This feeling of being totally alone with no one to support me.
This feeling of knowing that there is no one else to depend on.
This feeling of knowing that what decisions I make are mine alone.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
The lost opportunities and loss of loves through my lifetime.
The loss of innocents through a very hard life and experiences.
The loss of being able to be open to those that come into my life.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
I look into my future and see so much confusion and loss.
I look into the future and see so many lonely days and nights.
I look into the future and see life without love or companionship.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
When I awake tomorrow it will be time to rethink my life's path.
Tomorrow will be a time of reviewing my mistakes and past experiences.
Tomorrow will bring with it new insight into what the future holds for me.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
This is the time to say good-bye to old relationships and loves.
This is the time to reflect on what worked and what didn't in my life.
This is the time to see where I want to go and make choices.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
As the mist lifts I will see clearly once again just as the mist lifting from
the mountains.
As the mist lifts I will see where I made the wrong turns and what I did wrong.
As the mist lifts I will know which roads to take for my own future and my own
happiness.
This is what life has brought me to and what Life is Today.
