Memories by Leona Ebling
Twirling, whirling, how they do fly,
I am describing the years gone by
Telling of memories also made only today,
how they are only memories as time goes its way.
Memories are important stories about us they tell.
Some memories we like, some not to well.
We make them and store them throughout all our years,
and we pull up our memories with laughter and with tears.
Some we share with others, some are never told.
But our memories are more precious then silver or gold.
The good ones we cherish and love to replay.
The bad ones we keep hid with not much to say.
We should never forget they are our heritage to give,
some may even make life easier for others to live.
We must pay the bands life chooses for us to hear,
dance with our hearts and hold our partner "life" dear.
Always try to do the very best that we can,
as we write our lyrics when we pay the band
And remember the way we react and the things that we say,
is how we will be remembered by others someday.
