My Tears by Mary Ann Peterson

Tear drops falling from my eyes,
from all the loneness and pain I feel inside.
Is it from losing my mom and dad,
or just the time that passed by to fast.
Once I was a child playing outside,
running around not trying to hide.
Now I have grown and found many fears,
now I shed so many tears.
Why does life have to be so hard,
you get over one thing and another starts.
I pray to God in many ways,
in hopes he will take my fears away.
Maybe someday a smile will begin,
and I will be happy once again.
