My love, My Soul Mate by Marty Ford

A new life I must make
My love, my soul mate, was taken away
People say, time will heal all wounds
But, how does one adjust to living all alone

We shared in each others lives, each and every day
So now, it's just me, missing him in every way
His warm arms, reaching out to me
Or a kiss in the mornings, welcoming a new day
His gentle hands, holding onto mine
His touch, make me feel special
Now that too, is forever gone

At night, I dream that he is near
But when I awake, he's no where near
Oh, how I miss his comforting words,
or his phone call to ask, how is your day

Together we made many memories
Some still vivid in my mind
And that will be my keepsake
As I go from day to day

In my moments of loneliness
I know in time, my life will take a turn
And that my heart will start to heal
