With the Dawn by Dori Bushee
With the dawn, a new day again unfolds right before our very
eyes,
offering us the promise of a brand new beginning,
and another chance to change our world.
We can choose to linger in the darkness of the fading night a bit longer
and try to hide from the light,
or we can move forward with the opportunities that await us.
The tears and sorrow that may may have followed us can be left behind
or become a part of the new day lying before us,
and that is the choice we alone must make.
We can open our hearts up and take in the beauty of God's great earth,
or hide amongst the shadows,
blocking out the wonder that makes life worth living.
With the dawn, I will do my best to let the past fall behind,
allowing the future to tempt my fate,
and to live within the moment I am now given to share and to love!
