Authors Notes: The Next Morning ............ After making short work of the bay Roy walked into the day room. " Hey Capt, do you have it minute?"Roy asked being enterupted by Chet " Hey Roy, I'm sorry about what I said yesturday about you and the phone call. I didn't mean for you to take it seriously, I was joking." Chet appologized " No problem Chet, I know you didn't. " Roy accepted. " In fact I guess I should explain. You see, the phone call I got yesturday was about my daughter Nicole." " You have another daughter?" Johnny asked surprised by Roy's words " Yeah, her mother and I were going together back in collage. We were definately an item back then." Roy started his memories coming back to him." But then things changed and we went our seperate ways. Then we found out she was pregnant after she was engaged to Roger who was a few years older then me . I still had three years of collage so Betty and I decided that since Roger had a very good job making plenty of money that she should go ahead with the wedding. They moved to Mississippi about a year after Nicci was born. " " Well do you see her or have contact with her?" Marco asked just as surprised as the rest " Yeah I see her, I go to Mississippi once a year for a visit and I write her and send her birthday and Christmas cards with money." " Well what about the phone call Roy? I mean you looked so serious after you hung up."Johnny asked " It was serious, Nicci ran away the other day. The phone call was her mother telling me that they found her." Roy said then turning his attention to his Captain." Capt I need to ask you if I can take the last four days of my vacation so that I can go to Mississippi. " " I dont think there would be a problem. C shift is still out and I can go try to find a replacment for you. But do you mind telling me why on such short notice?" " Capt, yesturday when I was on the phone talking with Betty I realized that the situation was getting very bad, Nicci's heading down a dangerous path, and I feel that if I dont step in and do something she'll be in jail before she's eighteen. She's already been in trouble with the police a couple of times. " Roy explained " I guess what it all boils down to is that I need to try to prevent things from going to far and who know perhaps bring her back with me. Or at least try." " I see, well Roy if it was for any other reason I probably wouldn't even consider giving you the time off. But I know how I would feel if it was Sherry. Family is very important and so it must take priority over everything. You go to Mississippi and you get that daughter of your." Captain Stanley ordered, his voice filled with compation for his friend. " Thanks Capt." Roy said being interupted by Chet " Hey DeSoto." Chet spoke " I know this is about fourteen years to late but......" As he turned to face Chet, Roy had to smile " Kelly what is this?" " Well I thought I would congradulate you on the new arrival." Chet said cutting a grin while holding up a cigar." So congrads it's a girl." " Thanks for the thought but I dont think I should start celebrating until I know if there's a reason." " Yeah and you wont know that until you get outta here, Now beat it." Stanley ordered with a smile. " Yes sir Capt." Roy said over the phone ringing ............ "Jo I'm home." Roy announced walking through the house stopping in front of a suitcase that was sitting in the hall. "Hey Jo what's going on?" Roy asked. Then walking up to the opened bedroom door Roy stopped short seeing Jo standing before him. Her slim boby hidden under a short black night gown. " How did you know I would be back?" Roy asked taking enough steps forward so that he and Jo stood face to face. " Well I called the station and talked to Hank." She smiled placing her arms around her husbands neck Placing his arms around her waist,he leaned in giving her a long passinate. "Hmmm.." he allowed to escape his lips as he felt his growing member press into her. " I love you so much." He whispered picking her up and then moving over to the bed.
