Club By-laws

Artical 1 -Name:
1.1 The name of the club shall be "Emerald City R/C Model Club.

Artical 2 - Purpose:
2.1 The purpose of the club shall be to be a charter club of the Academy of
Model Aeronautics (AMA) for the Dublin, Georgia geographic area,serving the
interests of the local model aifcraft enthusiasts.

Artical 3 - Membership
   3.1 Membership shall be open to any person who indicates an intrest in the
building or flying of model aircraft.
   3.2Membership shall consist of two classes:
                 Flying: A member who is an active flyer,who must hold a valid current
AMA    license and who has agreed to abide by club safety rules.(appendix 1)                                                                                                                                                               Assocaiate: A member who does not participate in the flying activities of
the club.

Artical 4 - Disciplinary Action:
     4.1 Membership may be terminated for the violation of club bylaws; of club
safety rules;     or of AMA safety code.
     4.2 Disciplinary action shall bedetermined after the incident(s) is (are)
investigated by a committe of three (3) current members;who shall provide a
regular club meeting and recommendation for action. Decision shall be by a
regular club meeting vote by current members, by simple majority.
     4.3 Reinstatement of membership terminated by disciplinary action shall be by
a regular club meeting vote, by current members by simple majority.

Artical 5 - Dues:
      5.1 Dues for membership shall be set by a regular club meeting vote, by
current members,by simple majority, in December each year, for the following
calender year (Jan 1- Dec 31). Notice of this December meeting shall be sent to
all current member at least two weeks prior to the meeting date.
      5.2 Members who fail to pay renewal dues by February 1 shall be dropped
from club membership rolls. In any event, a member's dues must be currently paid
in order to exercise the right to vote.
      5.3 Dues for new membership shall be pro-rated as set by the Executive
Committee.
      5.4 Dues for 2007 are as follows:
           (a) Active member $50.00 per year;
           (b) Family member of active member $10.00 per year;


      5.5 Dues payed are non refundable.

Artical 6 - Club Officers:

      6.1 The Officer of the club shall consist of:
            (a) President
            (b) Vice President
            (c) Secretary
            (d) Treasurer
            (e) Safety Officer
