Years ago embroidery designs were created stitch by
stitch, each stitch was plotted by a puncher, the more stitches in a
design the longer it took the puncher to produce the design. Today’s
software gives us many automated tools to speed up this process; we no
longer plot each stitch except in those designs that require us to do
so. These designs most often have intricate, fine detail, where specific
stitches must be placed. Today the size of the design is irrelevant.
EMBroidery Studios prices custom digitizing
based on the time it takes to create and test sew the design. We sample
each and every design before we send it to you, matching the substrate
we test on as closely as possible to the fabric and type of goods you
tell us the design is intended for. Design creation methods and stitch
types vary depending on both the size of the design and the final
application. We will also give you suggestions on backing, thread and
needle size if requested.
Typically left chest size designs will start around
$45.00, jacket back designs start around $125.00. Most jacket back
designs will fall into the $200+ range.
We prefer art in cdr, dxf or eps files. We
accept bitmap formats such as bmp, jpeg and tiff, however these may
require partial or full redrawing and may be subject to an art fee for
this service. Art fees are $40.00 per hour with a ¼ hour minimum. Full
redraws are subject to quotes prior to producing the art.
We also offer editing, keyboard name
drops, multiple colorations and samples. Please check with us for
