-The Storyline-

It tells the story of the Souma family who get the curse of the twelve Chinese zodiac. Each of the twelve family members suffer the curse that they will change into their zodiac animal forms when being hugged by the opposite sex except if the opposite sex also get the curse. Those are: dog, pig, rooster, dragon, ox, sheep, horse, rabbit, snake, monkey, rat, and tiger. However there are no rooster and horse in the anime, it only exist in the manga (comics). This transformation will only last for a moment. But when they are transformed back in their human body, they will be naked. This sometimes become the humorous part of the anime since the room will be filled with chaos (animals running all around bringing clothes).

One day, a girl named Tohru Honda which is the main character of the story finds out about the curse (which is supposed to be kept a secret) by accident. The journey of love and friendship then begins...
