This is my Computer Technology class. We learn Desktop Publishing, Word Processing, Computer Applications, and general Computer Literacy. It's a fun class and it's always FULL.

1. Charles Babbage is considered to be the father of computers.
2. Pascal built the first gear driven calculating machine.
3. UNIVAC I was the first commercial computer.
4. The abacus is the first calculating tool.
5.A data base management system is used to manage files.
6.Red, green, blue are colors used to produce other colors on computer monitors.
7. Howard Aiken built the Harvard Mark I computer.
8. BASIC is an acronymn for Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. BASIC is a high level language.
9. HTML--hypertext mark up language is used for programming.
10. Word processors are used to manipulate words.
11. Spreadsheets are modern calculating tools.
12. A node is a device connected on a network.
13. LAN is a local area network.
