Race: Helena is a native of Oryx-7. Though
similar to earth humans in most ways, they
have several characteristics that differentiate
them from earth natives, and which mark them
as Oryxi. First, their olfactory senses are
greatly heightened. Because of that they are
able to pick up scents at a greater distance,
and are able to differentiate scents with high
acuity. Related to this is the fact that Oryxi
tend to each have a characteristic scent
pattern of their own. In addition, when they
are experiencing any heightened emotion, their
scent changes, taking on particular scents to
match their emotion. For anyone who gets to
know them well, their emotions are most often
given away by their scent before their faces
give anything away. The second major difference
between Oryxi and humans is in their eyes.
Their eyesight, both day and night, is quite
similar to that of humans, but their eyes have
irises with three distinct bands of colour to
them.

Voice: Helena's voice is low in tone and melodious.
She becomes quites animated when speaking.

Eye Color: the three rings of her irises from inside
towards the outside are- green, grey and deep blue.

Build: slim with long legs and slim hips. Slightly
less difference between waist and hips than in a
typical human. Small bones. Helena has high
cheekbones and a delicate nose, slightly fuller lips.
Tattoos/Piercings/Scars/Birthmarks: no tattooes,
no scars or birthmarks. Only piercings are triple
piercings in her earlobes and just above the lobe
in which she wears platinum rings that hold gems
to match her irises.

Fantasy: to actually pilot a space vehicle, even
if it is only a shuttle.
Strengths: intelligent and outgoing, strong memory
Weaknesses: can be easily frightened by unusual
occurences, not good at hiding her emotions

for a deep tangerine shade in her clothing, so much
so that she is seldom seen NOT wearing that colour.
Personality: Helena is bubbly and friendly, but can
be prone to speaking without thinking first. Because
of that people sometimes underestimate her
intelligence which can be a big mistake. Seldom
gets angry.
Hobbies: reading, collects drinking cups, is trying
to teach herself the art of crochet after reading
about it in a very old book

Background History
:
Helena's father and mother have been involved in
the government and diplomatic corps of Oryx- 7 all of her life. They have
been rather unpredictable as parents, sometimes loving and giving and
available to their children, and at other times distant and almost cold. Helena
has two older sisters and a younger brother. Since she reached adulthood,
Helena has been studying diplomacy and racial relations in hopes of getting a
job with the diplomatic corps, which would be her chance to travel and to have
new experiences. Now, as ambassador, she hopes to make that dream come
true. She is trying not to think of her job as spying, since Tyr knows she will be
reporting on her findings, but she is a bit uncomfortable with the idea of snooping
and reporting.
