Muirneach ni Eileen Dubh

Name of Player: Lissa

Target Realm: WL

Sex: Female

Age: 25

Race: Caucasian

Height: 5'3

Weight: 125

Voice: Contralto

Hair Color: Black

Eye Color: Green

Complexion: Pale

Build: Strong, athletic, toned and curvy.

Tattoos/Piercings/Scars/Birthmarks: Muirn has ritual
woad tattoos across her face, in spirals over her
breasts, and down around her navel. The woad consists
of geometric lines, shapes, and spirals evocative of
her religious heritage, and mark her as a Druid. Her
ears, nipples, and navel are pierced.

Sexual Preference: Heterosexual

Fantasy: All Muirn wants is to be with her husband and
her child.

Strengths: Strength of will, a closeness with nature
that defies logical explanation, utter devotion to her
soul-mate Darith

Weaknesses: She is not as physically strong as she
once was because Cai's birth nearly killed her and she
has been slow in recovering. She has lost most of her
will to live after being separated from her husband
and child. She is an oath-breaker to her Order.

Odd Quirks (if applicable): Muirn spends at least an
hour every dawn and dusk in ritualized worship. She
has a tendency to speak in riddles and enigmas.

Personality: Before Muirn was separated from her
family, she was the very soul of calm and didn't know
what it meant to lose her temper. Now, she is angry,
and bitter, and near-suicidal at times. The only thing
keeping her alive is the chance to make it back to
Darith and Cai. At her heart, Muirn is a very logical
woman, not often ruled by emotions. She is a wonderful
judge and negotiator and knows how to bring out the
best in people. She has an off-beat and sometimes dark
sense of humor, and she is most at home in a natural
setting, having never really adapted to life behind
castle walls. She has a tendency to be restless at
times, and to go wandering.

Hobbies: Muirn loves to carve small idols from bone
and gives them to people as tokens of luck, health,
etc.

Skills: Competent with a Quarterstaff; a good
negotiator; persuasion; human insight and empathy; she
is basically a Pagan, a Druid in the historical sense,
and is very close to nature and the elements.

Weapons (if applicable): An oak quarterstaff that
bears antlers representing Cernunnos, the God of the
Hunt, and raven feathers that represent the Morrighan,
Goddess of War.

Occupation: A Druid. Cleric, judge, wise-woman.

Background History:

Muirn was born to a small, largely nomadic, tribe that
had yet to advance in terms of civilization and still
followed the old ways. She was orphaned at a young
age, and the Raven Sept, a Druid Order devoted to the
Morrighan, took her in and trained her in their ways.
She stayed with them until she was 18 years old, at
which point she took the vows of her Order. Her vows
demanded chastity and strict obedience to the Order
and the old ways. After she took her vows, she was
assigned a "circuit" that she would ride. On this
circuit, she would act as a Judge, a Cleric, and
sometimes a neutral Negotiator in the various villages
in her path.

When she was 21 years old, she stopped at a small
village to act as a Judge in the matters currently
before the Court. Here she heard the story of a young
man named Darith, who was to be put to death as a
witch-he possessed a heightened empathy and could read
surface thoughts, which marked him as a danger in the
eyes of the frightened community. Instead of ordering
his execution, Muirn was moved to pity him, and handed
down a judgment that would change the rest of her
life. Darith was to serve as her scribe and servant
for a year and a day, at which point he would be
released from service.

She did not expect to fall in love with him, and even
when she did, did not expect that he would return that
love. It violated every Vow she had ever taken with
her Order, but on the night before his release, Muirn
and Darith defied the Gods and her Order and he took
her as his mate. Muirn made a new vow that night-that
she would never be separated from him, even if it
meant that her Gods would reject her.

They traveled to Pamala's estate, and there they
continued to live as man and wife while Muirn served
as an advisor to Pamala. In time, Muirn became
pregnant. She very nearly died in birthing Cai, and in
many ways never recovered from the delivery. Muirn
thought, having survived the birth of her child, that
she and Darith would continue to live as man and wife
beyond eternity, so closely are their souls united.

But her Order came for her, branded her an
Oath-breaker, and demanded that she fulfill the Vows
she took as a young woman. Too weak to fight them, but
heartbroken by her loss, she has been with them ever
since. The only thing driving Muirn now is her
determination to break the bonds on her and to be
reunited with her husband and her child.
