Background History
:
Lily was born in the modern world. Her father
was a college professor who taught music, and
her mother was also a folk musician, so Lily
grew up surrounded by people playing or singing.
As a child, she developed a passion for writing,
and even wrote a few songs, which she entered into
competitions. She also learned to play a variety
of musical instruments, including violin, flute
and guitar.
Lily went to the same college her father taught at,
and had just graduated with a bachellor's degree
in liberal arts, planning for a masters in music
education, when fate intervened and sent her an
obstacle, in the form of Stephen, a friend of a
friend. The attraction was mutual, but Lily realized
a little too late that the relationship wasn't
going to work, since he considered her writing
and her music equally stupid. The last straw for
Lily was when she caught him having burned most
of the manuscript of a completed novel she was
sending off to be published.
Distraught, Lily packed up what clothes she
could fit into a suitcase and fled, wishing
fervently that she could just prove him wrong,
that her passions could be useful to someone
somewhere.
Ashea rescued her from a bus accident that might have killed her instantly,
and brought her to WL, where she became the queen's court bard. Since that
time, she's found love, gotten herself kidnapped, and been closer to a main
character in her songs than even she can imagine. She's also discovered a
half-brother, Edward, who she wants very much to like and get close to.
