Background History:
Born in New York City to very loving parents, who encouraged their large brood to always succeed in what interested them. No dream was too big or outrageous for their children, and the parents own backgrounds laid the groundwork for Alexis. Her father, an Italian descendent in a poor family, put himself through Med School and became the nations leading neurologist. Her mother was a botanist from Hawaii- on vacation to the mainland she fell in love with Pietro Deherra....with the rest being history.
Being the only girl in a family of 12 boys, Alexis was quite spoiled and pampered by her brothers. But that didn't stop her from making her own mark in the world. Highly intelligent she graduated early from High School and went on to study at the Harvard Medical School... then on to a research grant at the Mayo Clinic.
By the time she was 32, Alexis had multiple Master Degrees relating to Pharmacology, Chemistry and Biological Research. The Shin Do Research Foundation, located in New Hong Kong, practically let her write her own salary to come work for them. Alexis has been on their team for the past Ten years. Recently she discovered a new strain of bacteria that had been hidden in a vault on a deserted research station out in the Caribbean, this may or may not be a good thing. Shin Do sent her in to investigate.
To make a long story short, all hell suddenly broke loose on the island, just as she discovered the hidden lab room containing the shelves filled with the secured viruses. The dormant volcano, on said island, began awakening and The She decided it was best to pluck Alexis from the situation and blew the volcano with a force not seen since the Krakatoa volcano. Alexis awakened to find herself in the PJ realm, more specifically in Healers Hall on the Master Healer's bed.
She's found her fantasy coming to life....an entire jungle filled with unknown botanical wonders! Now at last she'll have the time to research and become a healer.
