to use lightning. The spell backfired, fortunately the lightning wasn't strong enough

 to kill...but it did leave a scar on his right upper arm!)


Strengths
: Potential to be a powerful wizard, his deep love for Cassie Hunter. 
Edmund has great courage, steady nerves, very loyal to those he feels are worthy, and he

firmly believes in saving magical beings from those who wish them harm. 

Weaknesses            

: Too trusting, has a temper he tries hard to control because he tends to                  
           fly off the handle.

Very hard on himself as he's always feeling he could have done better. 
His magic power sharing with Cassie has some drawbacks; because of his magic abilities are

"negated" while she's using them. It's a big sacrifice for him to willingly give them to her

to use. The problem with switching their powers back and forth is that it tends to cause

the magic to become unpredictable now & then. 

Personality: quiet and reserved, until he knows the person. 

Hobbies        

         

: loves precious jewels. Enjoys reading, especially the old histories. Likes

 to write in his spare moments. 

Skills       

: Besides his magical skills Edmund shows a talent for whittling and wood

carving...carves animal figures. 

Magic   

: 
Natural telepath. Levitation, Animal Control, Spider web energy (best explained as

 being a spell that he can throw which binds his enemies into a spiders web. 
has elemental magics of: Earth- rocks coming to life and literally crushing what is threatning him.

(Edmund feels it's a particularly unpleasant elemental to summon, so only uses it when

there is no other option left.)


Air
 - either the wind or birds can be summoned, sometimes both happens at once!

But it seems to depend upon the situation, with the air elemental making up its own mind

 to what is needed.


Fire
 - Well that goes without saying! FIRE....as balls, or bolts of fire..sheets...

depending on what is needed.


Water
 - be ice, or snow depending on the situation....other times it might be rain or

water suddenly rising to a higher level in a contained area. Rain being the easiest to do, with

water rising coming behind that...and snow then ice being the forms that takes a hard toll

on the wielder. causing them to faint from exhaustion, or have blinding headaches.


Lightning
 - as in bolt lightning, ball lightning, sheet lightning. 

At any one time he can carry 3 magic abilites, because of the swapping factor with

Cassie. For instance when Edmund has: Wind, Animal Control and Telepathy

(an innate ability for him), Cassie is unable to use the first two abilities. Simply

because she has "swapped" him for some other ability. And visa versa.

 which he can channel his spells. 
Sword with jewels in the hilt. 

Background History: 
Born to peasant folks his early life was one of hardship, toil and uncertainty. But

at the age of 10 he was tested and found to be gifted with magic. His parents were

proud of their son, to think that a "mere" peasant child would be blessed with such a

gift! Edmund was accepted to the School of Wizardry, which elevated his parents station in

life - from a hut to a comfortable stone house. 

All of his training was spent in what was called the Wizards Tower, the only time he left

 the Academy or the Tower were to see his parents. But he was always closely supervised,

and warned not to attempt spells that were above him. Particularly supervised after the

 fiasco with the lightning that scarred his arm up. Edmund was constantly amazing his

instructors with his accomplishments. He continued to gain in power and strength, as

the years went by, where finally the instructors were able to determine that the young

man was a channeler of energy. Plus he had the unique gift of sharing his power with a

woman of his choice, but he had never felt the desire to do that. 

One day, near the age of 22, his mentor's daughter - Randall- began to hang around him.

His mentor was wanting them to be wed, but Edmund didn't want anything to do with her,

as he had seen how cruel she was to her servants. Finally one day she tried to seduce

Edmund by luring him into her bedroom. Whereupon Randall informed him that she

didn't want to marry him, but merely wanted to have sex and share in Edmund's powers.

Naturally he refused. So upset was Randall, by what she considered a rude refusal, she

stormed off to tell her father. Incensed that his protegy would REFUSE the advances

 of his darling daughter, that the man devised a plan to trap Edmund in a rare jewel

and taking his power. Inviting Edmund to dine with him, Domino (Randall's father)

 immobilized him in a chair, while informing the young man of his plans. Fortunately

 The She rescued Edmund and sent him to the realm of MM...Where Edmund met

 and fell in love with Cassie, bedding her and sharing her powers.

UPDATE:  Cassie and Edmund are now married, and have adopted an elven girl by the name of Elen.

They certainly have a handful with her!
