| Have you ever seen a day . . . Where the whispers of loved ones Are carried upward on the wind . . . Where promises once made and forgotten Are remembered and honoured. . . Where love melts the deepest and coldest of hearts . . . I lived it once, - within my arms I held him and thought T'would be forever . . . He vanished though, never to return - Oh so long before his time And will be true to say. . . My . . . Heart. . . With . . . Him. . . . Went. . . That. . . Day! |
| WHAT WAS . . . You, my first born son with eyes of blue and never ending lashes - your cheek, dimpled in laughter - your voice, unique to you upon earth - your gentle spirit, known only to those truly loved you - the warmth of your hugs as your soft breath feathered my cheek . . . I WILL CHERISH EVER MORE WHAT IS . . . A silent bedroom - an urn with your ashes resting upon the hearth - an abyss filled with sorrow - broken hearts - a pain for which there is no ending . . .I WILL ENDURE WHAT CAN NEVER BE . . . To hold you in my arms, to hear you laugh, or to watch you grow into a man - all the special and ordinary days - your graduation day - your wedding day - the day you hold your first born - another day, another hour, another minute or another second with you upon this earth . . . I WILL FOREVER MOURN E. Moreau |
