A Nation Divided...

It was the aftermath of the Legions invasion. The lands of Kalimdor were scarred, and the Night Elves had fled their ancestral forests of Ashenvale and Felwood. It is in this dark time that an ancient and forgotten prophecy shall be brought to light once more...

Evil shall grip the land.
Old allies shall turn against eachother;
The strongest of bonds shall be shattered.
It is in these dark times, that a new order shall be formed.
Beast shall take up blade;
and Shadow will be glorified once more;
The Ancient shall be renewed.
The Clanless united;
Outlaws shall be one with law.
Brethren and Keepers;
All shall be as one.
Then will the Shadow be banished forever.

-3rd Prophecy from the Tome of Garenas, the Great Titan

Long ago, the Titans had left the legendary tome on the fledgling world of Azeroth, as a warning, that its denizens may find it and prepare for the coming doom before it was too late.

Then, the demons came.

They ravaged the lands, destroying and consuming all in their path. They succeeded in retaking the tome, to keep it hidden in the darkness of the Twisting Nether for all eternity...

Thousands of years later, they entrusted it to their most faithful servants...the orcish horde of Draenor. On Outland, they believed that it would be safe. But a reckless human named Medivh interfered. He opened a dark portal to the orcish homeworld, and they spilled into the world of Azeroth like a swarm of ravenous locusts.

But after the second invasion of the Legion, the tome was found once more. Through the efforts of a bold Night Elf raiding party, the Tome of Garenas was stolen from the clutches of the orcs by the Archdruid Daedrim Dulean, who brought it to Darnassus. Upon reading it, Malfurion Stormrage summoned a legendary council.

Vin'lylth Stormfang, Shan'do of the cursed and legendary Druids of the Fang was revealed to be the beast who would wield the blessed blade known as Naturewrath. Selcar Menduler, one of the last great lords of Winterspring, revealed a further piece of the puzzle. The Alkar ua l'Undomai, or Glory of Twilight, were not dead, as common belief suggested. They had gone into hiding, and renamed themselves the Dae ua l'Undomai, or Shadows of Twilight. It seemed that the time had come to reveal themselves once more.

Anvil Eralah, last ruler of the Ancient, came forth to speak on behalf of his people, forgotten by the ages. The wisdom and power of the Ancients were to be renewed ten fold in the years to come...Ru'ali La'ron was named as he who united the clanless, into the sacred Guild of Eternal Night. The Archdruids Thade and Strider reached an uneasy peace. The notorius outcasts, the Shadows of Kalimdor, and the renowned justice bringers known as the Kaldorei Guardians made peace at last,pledging their services as well.

Archonian Mystforce and the Keepers of the World also came, as did the Brethren of the Night. Thus the prophecy was fulfilled that outlaws and the law, and brethren and keepers would dwell in harmony. The great city of Isilmemir was built by the ancient spirits of the forests, to serve as a home to the newly formed Elven League.

Now, they wait for the impending war...where the might of the Elven League shall be revealed.
