| Whoooooooooo! That was one wicked movie! As a Tolkien fan, I personnaly like the book better, but the movie was still good. They did miss a lot of parts, but for first time viewers, it was easier to understand(like my mother). They missed the battle of bywater or whatever it's called in the shire at the end, which upset me, but I knew that they would cut that out. They actually didn't miss a huge amount of things. Frodo and Sam's part was shorter, which is good if you ask me. One thing that really bothered me was how they didn't do much about when Eowyn killed the Witch-king. They left out a lot of little things. At the last battle, I think Faramir and Merry were there and they weren't supposed to be. Also they didn't even hint anything of the relationship that forms between Faramir and Eowyn, or their marriage. I found the ending really blunt. I was looking forward to seeing the hobbits in battle and also I think that they really should've showed how Frodo wasn't given much glory for saving middle earth and the other three hobbits were(because they were in wars or had special seeds to help regrow the trees). They didn't say anything about Legolas and Gimli visiting the mountains and then going to the Havens either. But it was still a really fantastic film and for anyone who hasn't seen it already(you're craz...jk) go see it! I recommend it and I think that it was the best one yet. It beats the Two Towers in plot but of course nothing can beat The Two Tower's action. |
