Elton & Walshaw  F.C.

 

Saturday 20th of October saw Elton play the Stand Athletic Colts at Guardian Angel's. These two teams are evenly matched and so should have been a good match, and they didn't disappoint. The only thing against these two teams today was the poor weather conditions but it didn't stop the true grit and determination of both teams. The lead would swap sides like a tennis game as the game progressed. Elton saw themselves go into a 1-0 lead from a well taken goal from Chris Gills only for the Colts to bounce back and take a 2-1 lead. Elton kept in the game by equalising from the Penalty spot with a George Rimmer kick into the right hand corner. The Colts soon went back into the lead but Elton came back to make it 3-3 all from a goal from Ben Maxwell. Man of the match for Elton went to Chris Gills.
