�Stephanie, you bought that dress five months ago.� �Okay� How about this?� �You bought that three months ago.� Stephanie and Michelle were shopping that uneventful Wednesday for baby clothes. It had been eight months since Michelle and Fred informed the families of their upcoming arrival, and it was almost three days until the actual due date. Stephanie had been eagerly shopping for her best friend the entire duration of the pregnancy. Michelle was never without. Stephanie had thrown her baby shower a couple months before and Fred said that he was up to his ears in far too much baby stuff and the baby hadn�t even arrived. �How about�� �Two.� �How about�� �First heard about it.� �Bloody hell, Michelle! There�s nothing I can buy you anymore!� Michelle�s face turned ghastly white. She gripped the edge of the dress rack and nodded to her friend. �There is one more thing you can get me.� Stephanie turned and saw her friend in agony. Her eyes widened and she was unsure of what to do. �What? What? What do you want me to do? What? What?� �Take me to St. Mungo�s.� �Right. Right. St. Mungo�s.� �Get Fred.� �Fred. Fred. Right. What else?� Michelle grabbed her friend�s hand and squeezed it for dear life. Stephanie screamed loudly and in the next few seconds, they were at St. Mungo�s. Stephanie was pacing urgently. They had taken Michelle immediately to the maternity ward and she had begged her friend to stay out and wait for Fred. Then she was to contact all of their family. It wasn�t too long afterward that Fred came racing into the lobby. He grabbed hold of Stephanie�s shoulders and sputtered, �Where? Michelle?� �They took her to maternity.� �Thanks!� He raced out of the room and Stephanie smiled, watching him go. She turned around to go Floo the Weasleys and the Stones when she bumped face first into Seamus. He chuckled, embracing her. �Watch where you�re going, kid.� She sighed. �I�ve been tasked. Want to come with me?� He nodded, taking her hand and leading her out. She shook her head and smiled to herself. Seamus inquired as to what she was smiling about. �Fred and Michelle. They�re great. Having a baby and still their same kooky selves.� �Makes you wonder what having a baby would do for us.� Stephanie looked up at Seamus and smiled. �Yeah it does. Are you saying you want to have one?� �Do you?� |
