| Stephanie stopped and looked at Seamus.
�I would love to have one,� she whispered, squeezing his hand gently. �Then let�s have one,� Seamus smiled and kissed her tenderly. Stephanie and Seamus then proceeded to get a hold of all of Fred�s and Michelle�s family. They said they would be up to St. Mungo�s as soon as they could. They all arrived (if it was possible) at the same time. �Where is she? Where�s Fred?� Ron asked as he and Hermione raced into the lobby. �She�s in maternity. I�m sure Fred will come and get us soon,� Stephanie said more calmly than she felt. It was only a few minutes later that Fred ran out of the swinging doors and motioned for a few people to come in. Ron, Hermione, Stephanie, and Ginny all followed. �How are you?� Stephanie asked her friend upon walking into the room. �I�m in pain and only only at 5 centimeters,� Michelle said quietly, letting her head fall back onto the pillow. �Where�s Seamus? Did he come?� Michelle asked Stephanie. �He went to call some more of the family,� Stephanie replied. Bill and George then arrived. �Hey,� Fred said giving George a punch in the arm. �How are you doing, Michelle?� Bill asked her. �Oh, I�m doing just fine,� she said sarcastically. They spent a few more minutes talking while Fred gripped Michelle�s hand by the bed. A few minutes later, the nurse walked in and told everyone to go. The contractions were getting closer and closer together. Fred stayed right by her side. �Doctor, she�s at 8 centimeters,� the nurse reported. Michelle looked up at Fred and smiled nervously. �I�m scared, love.� �Don�t be scared,� he whispered, leaning over and pressing his lips to the top of her head. �You�re going to be a great mum. I can just see it. We�re going to be the best parents in the wizarding world, you�ll see.� She closed her eyes and then shook her head when the doctor told her it was time for her to start pushing. She gripped Fred�s hand tightly. �No, no, I don�t want to do this anymore. I don�t want to.� Fred laughed. �It�s too late to change your mind, love. Just start pushing.� Michelle�s eyes flooded with tears. �I don�t want to! I�m not ready!� Everyone waited for about a half hour until Fred ran out excitedly and exclaimed, �It�s a boy!� There was joyous applause all over the place. The entire lobby was in an uproar. Fred led everyone in to meet the newest member of the Weasley family. They all walked in quietly, and Stephanie pushed her way to front. �What did you name him?� Stephanie whispered. �We named him Michael,� Michelle replied, not taking her eyes off of the infant in her arms. �I like that,� Stephanie said. �I half expected you to name him Fred the Second,� Seamus said with a laugh. �No! He brought it up but I had to fight him on it,� Michelle said, grinning at her husband. He rolled his eyes and kissed her head. �I�m glad that he�s here,� Fred said, gazing at his son. �Yeah, I wonder what the teachers will say when they see the son of Fred Weasley at their school. They�ll run in fear!� Hermione teased Fred. Michelle looked around the room at her family. She couldn�t have been happier than the year at Hogwarts in which she�d fallen in love with her husband. |
