| �Everyone! Excuse me!� Fred yelled, standing up in front of his and Michelle�s family during their dinner party.
Everyone stopped their chattering and looked at him. �Michelle and I have something to tell everyone,� Fred announced as Michelle stood up. Stephanie looked quite smug while everyone else remained confused. �Um... er... Michelle, well, she�s um...� Fred stammered, rubbing his hands together. �Spit it out, Fred!� Ron shouted as everyone laughed. �I�m pregnant!� Michelle blurted. The room was silent. It was Molly who finally broke the silence. �Finally! It seemed like you two were never going to have kids. I can�t wait to be a grandmother! Congratulations!� she stood up and delivered a hug to each of them, drying her eyes all the while. �Congratulations!� was the only thing either of them heard for the next few minutes. The rest of the night passed very smoothly. Michelle�s mother was conspiring with Fred�s about what to do for the upcoming baby. The rest of the family kept talking about what kind of havoc their child would wreak and what stress it would do to the Weasley family. Michelle could only smile and laugh as she cleared dishes. She was then forced to sit back down by the other Weasley wives as they took care of the dishes for her. After a few hours, everyone was ready to retire. Seamus and Stephanie were the last to leave. �Are you glad that you got it off your chest?� Stephanie asked Michelle as she got up to leave. �I suppose I am,� Michelle said. �I am glad that everyone knows, so I don�t have to keep quiet. It�s hard for a person like me,� Stephanie said with a laugh. �Thanks for keeping it a secret though. I wanted to tell everyone soon. After a while, it was going to be kind of hard to hide.� Michelle said. Fred joined Michelle as she saw her best friend off. �Well, Stephanie. Were you surprised?� Fred asked her. �I was very surprised! You should have seen my face!� Stephanie gave Michelle a wink and joined Seamus as they left. |
