Still in view of the importance of this transaction I think that we need to be vigilant. I plan to be extra vigilant and make sure that nothing goes wrong. We can have our fun when we get the trunks released.
I am pleased that you were able to negotiate with the security company. Wile Coyote and I will now proceed to arrange our accommodation and confirm our flights. Air France is the airline. We will be in Abidjan on the 14th or 15th.

The shorter message that you suggest is fine.
I have bought some perfume for you. It is called channel no.6. I bought it from this nice man that I met on the subway. He says that it is a new version of no. 5 and that it smells real nice. I hope that you like.
Now to business. I will be leaving for the airport shortly. I have arranged for the money to be in cash as you suggested. Wile Coyote also has some business to transact, something to do with buying gold. Anyway he has a suitcase with a false bottom into which we are both placing our cash. I was able to fit the $20,000 and he put in another $10,000. It fit fine.
I have spoken with a shipping agent - Charles Norris of Delta Force removals - they are experienced in getting things out of other countries. They can arrange shipment out of Ivory Coast for me. He can arrange it with the security company. I haven't told him what is in the trunks.

I am certain that the security of this matter has been compromised.
On arrival at the airport our bags were searched. Luckily they did not find the money. When we cleared customs were approached by men offering to help us and to act as guides. Wile believes that they were members of the rebel forces loyal to MAJOR JOHN PAUL KOROMA.
We refused their help and caught a taxi to our hotel. We later switched to a different hotel because we think that we had been followed.
We are very worried and have not been able to sleep. My dearest I have tried many times tonight to call you on the number that you sent - I heard a clicking sound and some whispering - Wile tried and heard the same. He thinks that your phone is bugged. One time a man answered - you told me that it was your direct line so there should be no men there, especially late in the night when we called.
We have hidden the money and will only remain in the country for 1-2 days because of the civil unrest. Hellen, why didn't you tell me that there were troubles in the country.
I am worried about you - please let me know that you are OK? I will check my email later for your answer. Lucky I can connect with my laptop. I will not call on that phone number anymore because it has been compromised.

I received your emails and hope that it is really you that is writing.
When I finally fell asleep last night I had a dream about you, in my dream you said that I should trust you, but to be careful.
Yesterday Wile and I tried to go to the address of where the security company is located but we couldn't see any signs for it and came back to the hotel. There was a strange car following us for part of the way. We think that they may have been members of the rebel forces loyal to MAJOR JOHN PAUL KOROMA.
In the bar at the hotel, Wile and I met a really nice businessman who said that he knew about the terrible situation in Sierra Leone. He also said that he knew your late husband. His name was Con L'Artiste, do you know him?
We didn't tell Con about why we were here but we did ask about the demurrage costs charged by security companies. Con said that he had contacts in the business and that he could get whatever was stored released to us for a much lower price. He said about USD$15,000 - which is about half what you were quoted.
Isn't that fantastic! We will have more money left over to invest! Hellen, you must be so happy to have experienced businessmen like Wile and me helping you in this transaction. We didn't give him any money yet because we wanted to try and meet with you first - I will try one more time to meet you before we fly out.
My dearest, we are worried that the phones are bugged so we will not call for long. It is better to discuss this in person.
On Thursday at 1pm exactly, I want you to go to the Novotel Abidjan hotel. You should also switch cabs at least twice so that no rebels can follow you.
I am very lucky that Wile is here helping me. He used to be in the marines and has good ideas about how to make sure that we meet you and retrieve the money safely.

I thought that you would be available day and night for this transaction. As I mentioned, we leave shortly and need to get this business sorted out.
I have good news and bad news!
First the bad news. Con L'Artiste just called to warn me that we have come to the attention of the rebel forces. He says that we are being watched and that our phone is being monitored. He said that we should not make or receive any more calls.
The good news is that he has been able to do even better than we hoped. His contacts have spoken with the boss of the security company and they have agreed to release the boxes to him for only USD$10,000. Wile and I want to give him and extra $USD2,000 for helping. I hope you don't mind.
I will meet with you tomorrow as previously arranged. Be vigilant, if I suspect that you have been followed I won't come. In that case please check your email regularly.

After my son recieved your call he waked me up, I was so worried since afternoon I neither recieved your mail nor your call. How can you give money to somebody who you met at a drinking parlow to go and retrieve my box, does he know the deposit code of the box?
Infact which box did he tell you he wants to retrieve for you. If its my box, the security company cannot release it to him except he presents the original of the certificate of deposit which is with me. Infact my dear I will advice you to wait till morning for us to see and don't release the money to the Con L'Artiste until we see face to face, if you know you really love me and want to assist me. I will be with you as early as possible.
