Origins of the Elm Street Players
One day my cousin came to visit, and we decided to go over to Ben and Sam's house and play, even thought my cousin was terrified of them.  The game we ended up playing was one where we were a kingdom of werewolves and other such creatures.  My cousin was frightend somewhat by this, and so Ben and I became a pair of human minstrals who had been captured and were trying to entertain the wolves.  We wrote the play The Werewolf as we went, and the wolf people were so touched by it that they all started crying and we escaped when they weren't looking.  We decided that we liked the play, and not long after Ben, Sam, Anne and I had a sleepover and were playing castle or adventurers and ended up giving a brief preformance of Romeo and Juliet.  Afterward, we changed the parts around, added a cyclopse, made Romeo a fish, and preformed it for their parents.  During breakfast we came up with the basic plan for the Taming of the Shrew.  After that we named the group, preformed for Anne and my parents, and began throwing around more ideas, most of which didn't fly.  For years we preformed our plays for every family member who came to visit.  Now the plays have mostly been abandoned, though we preformed Fisio and Juliet for friends about a year ago and The Case of The Murder of The Guy with our library Drama Club and the group lives on in the film production and other arenas.
