Site Description: Outdoor Resorts of America offers luxury RV parks for lot rental or purchase ownership, used by high-end motor home, motorcoach and 5th wheel owners at premier U.S. resort communities.

Client Design Requirements: Two sites in one: corporate site and individual sites for each of the 12 resorts (site look for Hilton Head resort). Corporate logo in header. Clear navigation between corporate and individual resort sites. Feature amenities and photos of each RV resort. Make site easy to update putting rates in one location, etc.

Client Design Requirements: Complete information on the four divisions, How Do I... service information, media and tip information, history of the department, staff profiles and job opportunities. Make site easy to update weekly with media releases and tips of the week. Allow archiving by year. Clean navigation for lots of content and future growth (three levels of submenus). Link back to county site from all main pages. Provide clear contact information.

Site Description: Vineyard Mountain Images creates high-quality photo images on fabric for quilters.

Client Design Requirements: Allow for deep-content website that can expand exponentially - more states will be added. At state level, are different subpages of squares. Three level menu. Need easy navigation to individual pages on specific squares. Online shopping via paypal. Protect larger image of each square with a copyright notice and if multiple large images are opened simultaneously, have the windows cascade for easy access to each image. Add store locations, retail support items.

Site Description: Driftwood Public Library, a department of the City of Lincoln City, Oregon, provides book, video, internet and other services to local and county residents.

Client Design Requirements: Did a minor page design in June 06 (did not do the original design, which works well). Used original home page layout with boxes and page header on each page. Changed font to sans serif; made a consistent footer; rewrote copy to make more web-friendly (more bullet points and headers). Added a style.css, colored headers. Reorganized pages for improved navigation since site is quite deep. This is a very active website with lots of author programs, news, events - weekly updates.

Redesign in June 06 and do weekly updates.

Client Design Requirements: Complete information on Program, Exhibitor and Sponsor information, Registration and Contact details. Registration forms for exhibitor, sponsor and attendee. Also Paypal or mail-in options for all three. Site to be updated with registrants' list and ongoing Program information.

Built in May 2006.

Updated Oct 2006: After conference, updated site with presentations. Took down sponsors/exhibitors/registration information.

Client Design Requirements: Strong links to eBay sales area and also to 'shop here' store on the site. Provide sampling of products on home page. Directories are also used to host extra photos for eBay items.

Site Description: Shirley's on 'D' Bay Restaurant with Stohli's Lounge (Newport), Shirley's Sip & Sand Restaurant (Lincoln City), and Shirley's Catering on the Oregon coast: fresh seafood, steak, sloppy joes, Reubens, BBQ, crab cakes, chowder - all home cooked, from scratch.

Client Design Requirements: Showcase photos of both restaurants and lounge to show off view and spaciousness. Display menus. Build catering section with online form and menus. Give history of Shirley and 35 years in food business and highlight that everything is cooked from scratch. Provide directions to both restaurants.

Updated March 2006: Added Mal-ecommerce shopping cart with a shipping calculator. The shipping calculator computes the ACTUAL shipping charges using a variety of methods: UPS, FedEx, USPS.

Site Description: Ancient Light gifts and handicrafts store in Seal Rock, Oregon, has embroidery, handmade gifts and holiday items, toys, New Age items, books, CDs, supplies and classes in Paganism, Wicca, witchcraft, and the Society for Creative Anachronism.

Client Design Requirements: Showcase merchandise (about 500 images) with prices and descriptions. No ecommerce yet, but set up items so that it will be easy to add Paypal. Have a What's New page that features new products, classes, and events. Make everything easy to maintain/update/reconfigure. Have clear navigation that allows access to all products quickly and directly. Under Special Interest, add pages that highlight merchandise on site that is appropriate for varied interests, such as SCA, Charmed, Harry Potter. This store has a wealth (and breadth) of merchandise!

Client Design Requirements: Showcase the 40+ books, hundreds of articles that John Vacca has written. List all edited and reviewed books. Include purchase links to amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com for all of the above (via their Associates' and Affiliates' programs). List all fields in which John Vacca has written and have a separate page on the various writing services that are available. Include thumbnails of book covers. Have astronomy design in header and use blue. Make it easy to add additions to all pages as new work is developed. Break down pages into manageable pieces.

Built in Jan-July 2005.

Redesign Nov 2006: Update the look. Make a little more 3D, more contemporary. Make more pages (content) accessible from the menu for easier viewing.

Site Description: KCUP 1230 AM radio station in Newport, Oregon features local LIVE and syndicated talk programs: Imus, Dave Ramsey, Ray Lucia, Dave Ramsey, Sean Hannity, Phil Hendrie, Don & Mike, George Noorey and Art Bell Coast to Coast, Tom Leykis, Kim Kommando, and jazzy Sundays.

Client Design Requirements: Have an entertaining, lively site, full schedules of talk shows with both table grid layout (in one Program Schedule page for easy reference) and descriptions of each show and host (Listening Highlights page). Put enough content on home page to show the variety. Make navigation to each show very easy/accessible via right margin. Highlight 10 weekly LIVE local shows, including regular updates of upcoming guests. Make site overall easy to navigate and to update. Make it fun and active with scrollers, etc.

Showcase You've Got Mail marketing program prominently (changes semiannually). Provide info on personalities, local entertainment/concerts, weather. Make site easy to navigate and to update.

Client Design Requirements: Dark background to show off photos. 'Golden' colored heading. Show off 5 photographic styles. Place revolving slideshow on home page to show different photos. Have Gallery of 5 styles. Each photo clicks to a larger view. Good navigation from Gallery to Photographic Styles and around rest of site.

Site Description: Zoomray, Inc.'s Application Concentrator enables PC and UNIX applications to be delivered in a service model to both local and remote enterprise users. Zoomray uses thin clients on desktops and broadband technology for its business.

Client Design Requirements: Very little site information: focus on services, ROI, method to contact (perl form). No colors or logo were available so started from scratch with high-tech-looking photo. Wanted small type on site, professional, classy look. Did quick build and launch.

Site Description: High Street House Bed and Breakfast inn in Salem, Oregon, features an upper floor suite private for guests, which includes two large cozy bedrooms, private Jacuzzi tub/shower, continental or full breakfasts, and much more.

Client Design Requirements: Show off as many room photos as possible on the home page. Highlight gourmet breakfast menu. Make Rates and Driving Directions prominent on site. Put logo centered on all pages. Have full-site navigation in left margin of all pages. Colors: emphasize blue in logo and red door of B&B.

Updated in summer 2004: Edited pictures on home and rooms pages. Edited breakfast menu.

Highlight newsletter sign up - newsletters released on a regular (usually monthly) basis. Have a What's New box on home page to show off new content. Robust team and qualifications pages. Redesigned Service Offerings section a few months after release of site, including addition of Revenue Acceleration slideshow presentation. Colors: open to any.

Site Description: L2M Associates is a marketing strategy firm that enables technology-oriented businesses to get the most leverage from their marketing investments by assessing and improving three key Market Leverage Points: Messaging, Marketing Systems & Infrastructure, and Marketing Team Readiness.

Client Design Requirements: Use a serif font throughout site. Use an imagemap for the key drawing (on home page) of site, that will link to Services material. Highlight consulting service offerings which have robust content. Colors: blue in logo and maroon.

Built in spring 2003

Added in spring 2004: Marketing Myths and Newsletters sections. Newsletters are also sent via email. Two perl forms: Subscribe to our Newsletter and Sign our Guestbook.

Added in July 2004: Changed site to sans serif font via CSS. Added dropdown menu. Added site map, speakers page, more newsletters.

Updated in April/May 2005: New colors for site (blue, teal, light gray). New menubar (better pulldown menu; better access to subpages.) New testimonials scroller on top of home page. Newsletter redesigned for new colors. Added Marketing Points.

Redesign November 2006: Update the look. Make a little more 3D, more contemporary. Replace teal second color with orange. Keep menu and few changes to navigation. Add blog button to all pages.

Client Design Requirements: Emphasize range of services. Free consultation box on all pages. Show book covers and awards prominently. Put quote boxes on assorted pages. Wanted a quill in header. Color: teal was chosen after range of colors was examined.

Built in summer-October 2003

Updated in January 2005: New colors for site (blue and brick red). Changed guestbook form to a comments form and moved it to Contact Us page with other contact information.

Site Description: A charity that provides an assisted living center for Northern Cheyenne elders in Ashland, Montana. This center ensures that the elders are not moved off the reservation to nursing homes miles away from their families. Please visit this site and enjoy the Cheyenne history, elders' biographies, and more.

Client Design Requirements: Deep site; lots of content. Need easy navigation. Have a What's New box on home page to focus on new content. Lots of photos. Wanted to capture different stages of building. Colors: earthy colors.

Built in fall 2002

Added in June 2004: A "Make a Donation" store on a secure server.

September 2005: Changed colors on site to add blue to margin and menubar. Changed photo layout to remove light gray frames. Cleaned up left margin content.
